Akemi, surprised by the sudden kill jumped almost falling on her back

the stallion, (not as surprised at that very common mare behaviour) looks on, he spots a small opening in the woods next to a small creek

very excited with the good find he quickly snakes his mares towards the new spot where they settle for the evening.

She trotted proudly to the spot , took a drink sat down and munched some grass

the stallion walkedover and layed down next to the mare and put his head on top of her back and went to sleep

Akemi smiled and closed her eyes

suddenly he awoke in the middle of the night. he knew something was about. he slowley stood up being sure not to shuffle Akemi. He sniffed the air. ears forward. he knew he wasn't going to be able to go back to sleep so when he thought it was settle he walked over to the brook and took a long sip. the cold crystal water woke him up. he layed back down with Akemi and the other mares. he didnt go back to sleep, he just sat there listening. watching. feeling his surroundings.

in the morning when the sun just barely tipped the trees he nudged his mares to get up. after they all bathed and drank. they went back to the meadow to graze for breakfast.


after breakfast Estrapade suddenly felt that strange feeling of being watched and followed. he flared his nostrils and inhaled deeply. feeling too out in the open and exposed, he quicky snaked his mares across the meadow. when he felt safe in a small thicket of wood he walked around and sniffed the area. making sure if anyone was here, they were long gone. next while his mares were scrounging around for grasses, he walked from mare to mare to gently nudge then sniff, to find out if they were in heat.

She flicks her tail and releases some scent to affirm she is in heat

Estrapade smelling the mare closely, snakes her off to breed her.

A few minutes later, akemi walked back to the clearing and got a drink, muching on some tender grass tips looked around for something better to eat she spotted a berry bush ,satisfied with herself she ate she called the stallion nudged him said so where is the heard going to go live at,

i start to graze ( my horse is in heat i have not been on famliy trobles )

Estrapade sniffs the other mare cautiously and snakes her off to breed her too. when they return its dusk and because they are on a small mountain it gets cold down to 20 degrees. he leads his mares to some woods and when he finds a place where the wind cannot get through the trees. he lays the mares down next to each other and curls up next to them to keep them both warm.


"In the morning we will travel back down into the valley where it is warm again" said Estrapade. and with that he stayed awake only until the other mares fell asleep and then quietly dozed off.

i fall asleep nice and warm

I put my nuzzle on his back and sleep

( am i the lead mare or is akemi because im confused right now? lol)
